Description created a new effect system that handled abstract tracking of in-game effects, their functioning, costs and so on, in a way separate from any particular method (spell, item, etc) of creating them; the four sample effects that i wrote for initial development of the system are instant healing, instant energy infusion, attribute boost, and attribute drain; system supports concepts like wait times between effective repeat applications of effects, simple queries that items, spells, etc can use to determine how they should behave, and so on; uses a concept of effect classes based around the "minor - lesser - major - greater - great" structure for handling general magnitude of effect
Reason system is crucial to moving our technology forward
Result have a workable mechanism for defining effects in a standard, centralized way
Version predates automated version tracking
