Description made it so how much damage a weapon takes from being employed in combat depends on how much of the damage it's doing is kinetic in nature
Reason things that do weird damage types are generally not as much about being slammed into the target with maximum force, so it's sensible for them to not get as messed up by use
Result weapons that do special weird magical damage types will generally take less damage from doing so
Version predates automated version tracking
