Description | Made it so that if the price for you to buy an item from a trader exceeds twice their buying power (the maximum amount they'll pay for an individual item), a fairly severe drag factor applies to the portion of the price above that level. For example, at Baldwin, whose buying power is 1000 (so 2x = 2000), this change reduced the price to buy one particular item from 13768 to 2149. |
Reason | The idea is to keep the price to buy an item from being unreasonably higher than the price it could have been sold for, in particular so as to not make newbies selling high-value artifacts a disastrous event that calls for hiding artifacts by burying them in the earth, since the sold artifacts can be repurchased at a reasonable price. |
