zMUD is a very popular shareware MUD-oriented telnet client.

CMUD

CMUD is a "state of the art" MUD client by the creator of zMUD.

Mudlet

Mudlet is a new, open-source client that looks very promising.

WinTin

A Windows-based MUD client.

GMud

GMud is an older, unmaintained MUD-specific telnet client that still enjoys a degree of popularity.

TinyFugue

TinyFugue is a well-regarded multiplatform telnet client designed for multiuser text-based games (often being more associated with MUSHes and their relatives than MUDs, but no less usable for Lost Souls).

MUSHclient

MUSHclient is a freeware client program intended for MUSHes, but reportedly entirely usable for MUDs.

Pueblo/UE

Pueblo/UE is a long-standing MU* client. Lost Souls does not use Pueblo extensions (a set of multimedia capabilities specific to Pueblo).
