Description | Implemented exploration XP awards. As you explore areas, you will receive experience points at regular intervals based on the percentage of the area you have explored. The amount varies by area and is scaled to your level. A few areas do not provide exploration XP. In 3D map areas, generally only rooms that you would normally be expected to explore "count" for exploration purposes; air, solid earth, and (usually) underwater rooms are disregarded. Surface and tunnel rooms count; treetops may or may not. Also note that your homeland area is considered 100% explored at character creation, and you do not get XP for exploring it. |
