System Changelog Entry #3816
Summary | factored attack size into hit calculations |

Description | Revised combat internals so that the size of an attack adds to the likelihood that it will hit (and it adds a constant value, so it affects chances heavily) but subtracts from the 'margin of success' of your hit (which is what adds to damage). These effects are not directly part of your attack rating, so are not visible in it. |
Reason | Seems appropriate; it's harder to get out of the way of a really big attack, but also harder to bring it to bear on a specific target. |
Result | Much easier to hit with a large attack, much harder to hit precisely. (Anything that you see doing multiple-limb or full-body damage is probably a large attack; examples include large weapons, which are moderately large, and special attack forms like waves and storms, which are very large.) |
Version | lib revision incremented to Ain Soph 2.2.833 |
