Description | when an empathic bond with a familiar modifies your rating factor, it will now "stack" with other sorts of rating factor revisions (e.g. from aristeia) instead of having one randomly overwrite the other |
Reason | using a stealth-based aristeia achievement and being a cat consort should not collectively make you worse at fighting with stealth on your side |
Result | this fixes that conflict but also reveals how ugly the rating factor revision mechanic is. at minimum some core lib work needs to be done to create more nuanced versions of Rating_Factor_Set_Modify, which i think i can do soon. but since all of these are just very lightly flavored ways to Get Bigger Numbers, the whole exercise leaves a bad taste in my mouth and should probably ultimately be phased out. |
