Summary | instructor mechanics revisions |

When | Apr 29 2008 12:09 AM |
Description | 1) Increased the amount of skill experience that a single instructor lesson grants by 2.5x, while reducing the gold cost per experience by 50%, for a net effect of 2.5x effectiveness, 1.25x cost per lesson. 2) Removed the mechanic where there was a short timeout before an instructor could give you another lesson in a given topic again. 3) Added a mechanism where, before an instructor can give you another lesson in the same topic again, you have to get some experience in the skill from another source -- skill use, other instructors, whatever. This limit will eventually time out for memory saving purposes, but it takes a long time. It does not presently carry across reboots. |
Reason | The behavioral incentive structure was wrong. |
Result | 1) Instructors train you faster and for less money relative to benefit. 2) More incentive for people to play the game, less incentive for them to tick at trainers. (Hopefully almost zero incentive for ticking.) |
Version | lib revision incremented to Ain Soph 2.2.801 |
