System Changelog Entry #3906
Summary | NPC response-loop interdiction |
---|---|
Rated Importance | |
Rated Value | |
Type | lib bug fix |
By | Chaos |
When | Aug 31 2008 12:21 PM |
Description | Added code to the NPC verbal-responses mechanism that tracks who and what it was they last responded to, and does not respond again to that same stimulus. |
Reason | Response loops are madness. |
Result | The most common form of NPC response loop (NPC A says something which triggers a response from NPC B, which triggers a response from NPC A, and so on) will no longer happen. Response loops are still possible given a sufficiently complex interaction, but this should catch most of them. |
