System Changelog Entry #2660
Summary | revised internal function-call-optimization mechanism |

Type | lib revision |

When | May 21 2007 10:07 AM |
Description | revised the way a mechanism designed to make certain kinds of code execution faster operates, changing it so that it no longer trades off such a large cost in time when the object is loaded for speed later, but also requiring that it be used differently |
Reason | i'm told that when people are used to playing with zero lag, ANY LAG WHATSOEVER is simply unacceptable |
Result | i get to stay up all night feverishly trying to fix the 27000 things throughout the MUD that broke, and objects typically load around twice as fast, which i'm hoping will mean less lag -- it definitely means a quicker reboot cycle and some moderation of we-just-rebooted lag |
Version | lib revision incremented to Ain Soph 2.2.203 |
