System Changelog Entry #3182
Summary | significantly reduced combat wear and tear on weapons |

Type | lib revision |
By | Chaos |
When | Aug 29 2007 10:21 PM |
Description | halved the basic magnitude of the damage done to weapons by attacking and deflecting in combat (because item damage tries to model the way you can hit an item gently 1000x and it won't be hurt much, but if you hit it once 1000x as hard it'll shatter, this actually means that they'll take significantly less than half of the damage they had been taking); then on top of that, made it so that when weapons do multi-limb strikes, the damage they take based on hitting each limb is inflicted separately rather than being added together, further reducing the effective damage in that case |
Reason | trying to get the modeling right |
Result | weapons get damaged less by use, probably especially with respect to the way they get torn up in the hands of someone who hits really, really hard; this will not be in full effect until the next reboot |
Version | lib revision incremented to Ain Soph 2.2.494 |
