Description | once upon a time twilight, in a fit of rare practical wisdom, realized, through testing, the infeasibility of having the temple of ganesha pick its location purely based on abstract, centrally defined features like terrains. he instead made it select its location from a list of realms that delimited it to reasonable mountains on the overmap. the players, saw that this worked reasonably consistently and did curse him for their pilgrimage challenges. then, during aone of twilight's long absence, an enterprising developer saw the code that twilight had wrought and thought, "man, this should be done with centrally defined abstract features like terrains!" and so he changed things. the players started to see the temple show up in strange places like stormrock, and shrugged their shoulders and continued to curse pilgrimage challenges. twilight, upon his return, gsaw what had been changed, saw that his testing had been carelessly cast aside in the name of an ideal that was not robustly implemented. he grumbled a bit and changed things back. |
